Starting the SynView Explorer for the first time

Since the iAMGigEServer is preinstalled to the camera´s autostart, software camera images can be received with GigE Vision.

iam should be run with the latest version of SynView Explorer. For this, the host system should be updated. The download link is at the end of section Download latest Synview Prerelease .

 1. Connect the camera to be tested: Start SynView Explorer on your host system. iam should apear in the list of found cameras. If not, check the previous section ("Configure your Network Controller"). Select it in the list of found cameras and press the "Connect camera" button.

 2. Configure the camera features as desired. Pay special attention to features in the categories "Image Format Control" and "Acquisition Control".

 3. When prepared, click the "Start acquisition" button to start the camera acquiring images. If not, verify again, if the camera was set to triggered mode, and if a trigger was attached.

 4. While acquisition is active, you can still adjust the runtime parameters, such as exposure time or gain. Basic acquisition parameters, such as pixel format or trigger mode get locked when acquisition starts.

 5. When finished, click "Stop acquisition" button and exit.
