Host PC System: Linux or Mac prefered if you do not have a linux system you should use the virtual machine image below.
Software
You can set up the camera in the three different ways
Use an Native Linux or Mac host
Using a Windows Machine as discribed in section Windows Host System
Use our Virtual Machine Disk image on any OS with Virtual Box as discribed in section Virtual Host System
Only a Linux host or a virtual Linux machine will support all features like crosscompiling.
Wiring
Connect the Camera Ethernet Port via the POE+ Injector to your Host-PC System. The network controller on the Host-Machine can be configured as below.
